Bloomffy has no signed customer yet, so we’re not putting a manufactured quote here. What we can show you is the specific, checkable research that shaped where Bloomffy is positioned — team size, funding history, what’s actually built versus what’s marketed.

The smaller Irish incumbents
Locally built, but stalled

Several small Irish players have gone years without a funding round and show no evidence of offline capability. Sleep and ratio tracking already exist in this category — the honest claim isn't that Bloomffy invented them, it's that offline-first logging and Reg 11 ratio-from-presence get built and maintained here, not shipped once and left.

Aistear/Síolta-branded tools
Curriculum tracking that markets ahead of what it does

Aistear noticing/nurturing/responding cycles are a common marketing hook in this category; independent account walkthroughs of one such tool found it at 0% completion across every age band reviewed, at the time we looked. Bloomffy's Kids Journey takes the opposite bet: it's assembled automatically from notes staff are already writing, not a form that has to get filled in separately to exist.

The bigger international platforms
Built for a different market first

The larger international players ship a daily parent summary as a marquee feature — Bloomffy doesn't have that yet (see below, we're not hiding it). What Bloomffy has instead is a compliance suite built directly against Ireland's actual Tusla inspection notebook and ECCE/NCS rules, rather than a generic international feature set with local settings bolted on.

Legacy web-portal tools
Still running on 2010s foundations

Some providers in this category are still fronted by the kind of WordPress-era portal common a decade ago — serviceable for static pages, but not built for real-time ratio math or offline-first logging on a room tablet. Bloomffy is a modern app from the ground up, not a plugin stack retrofitted onto a CMS.

Where we’re not there yet

A comparison page that only lists advantages isn’t an honest one. Here’s what the bigger, older players in this category currently do that Bloomffy doesn’t, yet.

  • No daily parent summary yet — several bigger competitors have one, Bloomffy doesn't.
  • No billing or invoicing — deliberately out of scope for now, not a hidden roadmap item.
  • No multi-site dashboard for a provider running several crèches — see the Plus conversation on the product page.
  • Offline support covers the highest-volume logging (attendance, nap, nappy, meals, notes) — observations, incident reports, and facility checks aren't offline-capable yet.
